Phase 3: Implementation - After the final prototypes were approved, it was time to develop the three tools (which would eventually be compressed into two) for implementation and finalization. For the refinement and design of the tools, I took a graphic design role and brought in a more seasoned leader to facilitate the high-level national stakeholder engagement needed to successfully kick off our campaign enterprise-wide. I had the distinct pleasure of designing the Medallion of Strength through several Agile iterations, focus groups with women Veterans, and refinements to ensure the final product was a badge that any woman Veteran can see herself in, no matter what shape, size, color or background. Coupled with the My Journey Workshop curriculum booklet that I also single-handedly designed, this has been my most significant accomplishment in graphic design to date, reaching hundreds of thousands of women worldwide through social media, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and veteran service organizations such as the Disabled American Veterans, who piloted both the My Journey Workshop and the Medallion of Strength at the 2022 DAV National Convention in Orlando, Florida.
